General life of the printer head is for using up 20-30 ink cartridges

The printer should have the ink cartridge with enough ink and ensure be working one time per week. Since long time no printing can cause head clog.

Ink cartridge exchange must be on the condition of light on, in order to avoid the air enter damage the printer head, pls install the new cartridges ASAP after taking out the old ones. Do remember Don't scrap the seal film at the bottom of the cartridge.

Don't draw out the cartridges before ink using up. Or will cause ink leakage and affect the print performance

Printer maintenance

Keep the printer away from the sun, magnetic instruments and air-conditioner

Keep it on stable and flat surface, no fierce vibration.

Install the printer cable must be on the condition of computer and printer power off.

Inkjet printer maintenance

Cleaning the inner dust

Please follow the instruction to cleaning inner dust.

1. Using wet cloth to clean the inner dust, ink dirt, paper smear.

2. Don't clean the gear, printer head and area of install cartridge

3. Don't move the printer head especially for those locked status printer. Or will damage the mechanical power conveyer.

4. Don't use paper to do cleaning

5. Don't use easy volatilized liquid avoiding damage the printer surface.

Change cartridge

Different printer use different ink cartridge and have different change methods, normally there is an instruction book FYI. Here we use the Canon as an example to discuss how to change the cartridge.

The steps are

1. Ensure the printer is on the status of power on, press the on line button till alarming.

2. Open the printer cover, take out the cartridge

3. Open the package and press the new cartridge into the slot. Touch the top slightly to make sure good contact.

4. Close the printer and press the printer mode button to act normal cleaning.

Pls pay your attention to following item when you change the ink cartridge

1. Don't touch cartridge exit to prevent mixed objects come in

2. Don't knock the cartridge avoid ink leakage

3. If there is any ink leakage on the PCB, pls use the purified alcohol to clean and dry it then power on

4. Available storage temperature for cartridge is -10℃ ~ +35 ℃

Printer head cleaning

Most inkjet printers have the cleaning program and self-cleaning function once it power on. There are three programs—fast cleaning, general cleaning, fully cleaning for Canon BJC-610, details pls refer to the instruction hand book, if the auto-cleaning doesn't work, you may need act manual cleaning based on the instruction.

Pay attention to follow points when you clean your printer head.

1. Don't use sharp tools to clean it, Don't touch the head.

2. Don't touch the electronic connector and never operate on the status of power on.

3. Don't dismantle the printer head and put it in dirty environment.

Why there is no response when printer power on and how to handle it?

Each printer has the over-current protector, when the current is high, the safety fuse will be burned. In this case, you need open the printer cover and found the fuse to check. If it really does, just change another fuse.

How to maintenance your printer properly

1. Good using habit is a must---in order to avoid ink jam, you do better to switch on your printer every two weeks or cleaning the printer head.

2. Pay attention to the storage environment---keep your printer away from the high temperature, high humidity and magnetic conditions.
